The VT1 “Bob the Blender” uses a 12AX7 (ECC83) valve to generate classic pure valve tones as well as provide a valve driven effects loop with a wet and dry blend control. There is a selectable op-amp Boost to provide extra overdrive output level still with the Valve tone. The VT1 “Bob the Blender” has a built-in voltage doubler circuit; this generates 24V from the existing 12V power supply. The 24V is used to supply the anodes or plates of the valve. The controls are By-pass foot switch, Level, Blend, Gain and a Boost select switch. Level sets the output level of the effect to your amplifier. Gain or send sets the signal level into the effect, this is useful when working at line-levels or with high output instruments such as an active bass. Blend sets the wet and dry mix between the instrument and the effects the range is 0-100%. The Boost switch selects a clean op-amp boost which is useful when working at lower gain settings. So, just plug your guitar, bass or keyboard into the jack with the guitar drawing and your amplifier into the jack with the amp drawing, the effects in to the Fx send and effects out to the Fx return and you are off and running! The pedal is covered for any parts and labour required to repair it should it go wrong within 12mths of purchase. This does not cover misuse of the product but we will be happy to repair this at cost as we will for any units which fail outside of the 12mths. The VT1-”Bob the Blender” runs from a 9-12VDC 500mA (12VDC 1200mA recommended) supply via a standard 2.1mm socket. A 12VDC @1200mA power supply is provided free if the pedal is ordered from this web site. The inner of the connector is the positive, there is reverse polarity protection so no harm will be done if you get it wrong. The VT1-”Bob the Blender” is totally hand built using a quality PCB, even the box is hand painted and marked. There is a one year return to manufacturer guarantee which covers parts and labour in case of failure with each unit. There is also a user manual.
